Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is the 2011 recipient of the Tällberg Foundation Leadership Award for Principled Pragmatism.
The motivation of the Jury: “Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg has throughout his career in national and international politics consistently promoted social equity, gender equality, international solidarity and ecological responsibility. His personal integrity has made a strong mark on Norwegian political life and well beyond. His deep humanism and his truthfulness to his values and relations to others enabled him to step up in a moment of traumatic crisis in July 2011 as a leader for all Norwegians and for all of us who defend freedom and democratic values.”
The award ceremony took place on October 27, 2011, in Stockholm, Sweden
