Energy prize
Hans Bywall of Dala Energi awarded the Dala Energy prize to Klaus Lorenz, Solentek at the Tällberg Forum and the ceremony can be seen online.

Dala Energi annually presents a prize known as the "Ball of Energy" and Klaus Lorenz, Solentek, received this year's prize for his contribution to the improvement of the environment. The prize includes an award of SEK 50 000.  

The prize winner must have: 

  • a solution which shows measurable environmental and/or climate measures improvements
  • applied innovation and thought outside the box
  • shared knowledge and experience with others
  • acted locally but thought globally and vice versa
  • set an example and been an inspiration to others

Klaus Lorenz has been working with great commitment to develop solar and heating systems based on solar biofuels. He has been involved in the development of commercial solutions of well-functioning technical systems, but also been heavily involved in education and research at Dalarna University. For many years, Klaus has shared his expertise his expertise in solar energy and small-scale heating systems. For these accomplishements, he was awarded the Dala Energi prize.
